About VHIEC
Velatura HIE Corporation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and the Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Trusted Data Sharing Organization (TDSO) business line of Velatura Public Benefit Corporation.
We operate as a shared service center for health information exchanges, health data utilities, and Trusted Dat Sharing Organizations for the communities and organizations they support, providing the governance, infrastructure, and services needed for secure, standards-based data exchange across healthcare and beyond.
Our work is grounded in Velatura’s mission but laser-focused on interoperability, care coordination, public health outcomes, and enabling digital prosperity. VHIEC consolidates and strengthens HIEs and TDSOs while preserving local stakeholder alignment and community trust.

Our Network
VHIEC manages and supports a growing network of affiliated TDSOs and exchanges, including:
- Missouri TDSO — evolved from Midwest Health Connection (MHC), now serving as Missouri’s cross-sector health data utility and governance framework. The Missouri market recently launched the Velatura Integrated Technology Platform (VITP) — a next-generation, HL7 FHIR enabled, and cloud-based infrastructure that unifies data exchange, analytics, consent management, and AI capabilities into a single, scalable environment for Missouri’s providers, public health agencies, and community partners.
- GRAChIE — a secure, statewide health data exchange serving Georgia’s academic medical centers, community hospitals, and provider organizations.
- Florida TDSO — building a trusted, multi-sector data-sharing network to support digital prosperity for communities across Florida.

Traditional HIEs — Focused on connecting healthcare providers to share clinical information and improve care coordination. We support all the traditional HIE services such as HITRUST secure FHIR enabled clinical data repositories and integrations at the local and national level using traditional HL7 and IHE standards to access the national networks.
Health Data Utilities (HDUs) — Expand beyond clinical exchange to serve as core public data infrastructure. HDUs deliver:
